ARISE & GO

There comes a moment in every believer’s life when God calls you to stop standing on the sidelines and step into the assignment He has prepared for you.

In Joshua chapter 1, Moses had died. The great leader who had led God’s people through so much was gone. The season had changed, and now it was Joshua’s turn.

The Lord spoke to Joshua and said:“Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan…”God was essentially saying, “The time for preparation is over. The time for mourning is over. The time for waiting is over. Arise and go.”

I believe God is speaking the same thing to many of us today.

Arise and go.

Arise from fear.

Arise from doubt.

Arise from disappointment.

Arise from insecurity.

Arise from the comfort of what is familiar.

The promised land was not going to come to Joshua. Joshua had to move. He had to step forward in faith even when he didn’t know every detail of what was ahead.

Many of us have been praying for direction, purpose, opportunity, and breakthrough. Yet God is saying, “I’ve already called you. I’ve already equipped you. Now go.”

Will there be challenges? Absolutely.

Will there be opposition? Without a doubt.

Will there be moments when you feel inadequate? Yes.

But God’s promise to Joshua is still God’s promise to us:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

The strength Joshua needed was not found in himself. It was found in the presence of God.

The same is true for us.

We do not move because we are fearless.

We move because God is faithful.

We do not advance because we know everything.

We advance because we trust the One who does.

God never promised Joshua an easy journey, but He did promise His presence. And God’s presence is enough.

Today, many believers are carrying callings they have yet to walk in. There are ministries waiting to be started. Businesses waiting to be launched. Families waiting to be restored. Communities waiting to be impacted. Young people waiting for mentors. Souls waiting to hear the Gospel.

The world does not need more spectators.

The world needs believers who will arise and go.

So put on the full armor of God.

Put on truth.

Put on righteousness.

Put on peace.

Pick up your shield of faith.

Take up the sword of the Spirit.

And move forward.

There may be giants in the land, but remember who sent you.

There may be obstacles in your path, but remember who goes before you.

There may be battles to fight, but remember who fights for you.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

No enemy can stop what God has ordained.

No opposition can overturn God’s purpose for your life.

The Lord is with you.

He will never leave you.

He will never forsake you.

This is not the season to retreat.

This is not the season to shrink back.

This is the season to arise and go.

Lead.

Serve.

Build.

Love.

Disciple.

Create.

Impact.

Walk boldly into everything God has called you to do.

The Jordan is in front of you.

The promise is waiting.

Arise and go.
