FYI... Process Precedes Purpose

This past year had its share of wins and even some losses, we'll call them opportunities because we do not claim defeat! My goal and main focus has been to continuously create a space for women do come together, share, network, and to release what seems to be binding them in order to see that there is MOORE that God has for you! This process has been difficult for me, from obtaining funding, to locating venues, and even having the fearlessness to host the events. This has been a pain point and a very stressful process for me.

I am fully aware that this is a process that I have to go through in order to push me into my purpose. God has strengthened me during those difficult moments in my life where I was down, depressed, and just wanted to give it all up! Proverbs 24:10 10 “If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.” And that my friends is what the adversary wants you to believe, that your strength is small. BUT….1 John 4:4 says different, “Greater is He that is with in me then he that is in the world!”

Everything you do has a process to it, from cooking, to driving, to even purchasing a home. It’s not called the Home buying PROCESS for no reason. There are necessary steps that must take place before the deed is transferred to you.

1. Work on building/rebuilding your credit

2. Find a realtor

3. Find a lender

4. Research the market

5. Go to open houses

6. Make an offer/possibly counter

7. Go into contract

8. Inspection

9. Appraisal

10. Closing

During your process, it's daunting , it can be tedious, and even make you feel that you're never going to fulfil the purpose. The process most times than not will bring you to your knees. That's sometimes the posture He wants you at. Lean and depend on Him, He will supply all your needs!

You must understand that you are being processed in the process. You're learning the discipline of paying bills on time and repairing your credit. You're making connections with peers who are aiding you in your process, but you are gaining wisdom so you can help your friend/family members during their process. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Hebrews 12:11

I encourage you to focus your attention on the purpose and not the process. In those tough times, offer up a sacrifice of praise. Sacrifice is defined as an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy. In that moment you're saying God I'm laying aside how I'm feeling right now because I know you have a plan and purpose for me. I praise you because you are working all things together for my good. I thank you that you have given me the endurance to walk by faith and not by sight because I am confident that the harvest you have for me is far greater than I can ever imagine.

When you shift your mindset, the lens you see your process through becomes clearer and your purpose gets closer. "What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later." Romans 8:18. I don't believe that just means heaven. On earth as it is in heaven.

As we navigate through 2023, I pray the boldness of Esther to be upon you and even through your process, you will walk boldly by faith knowing that God has ordered your footsteps and He has called you for such a time as this! Happy New Year, sis!
