Get Back On Track

Dear Whole Girl,
Have you ever been in this place where you know the Lord has given you something to do but then out of fear and doubt you end up prolonging the process?
There’s a word for this and it’s called disobedience. Disobedience puts you off track and it holds you back from walking in purpose.
I’d even say it can cause your life to look mundane and stop you from growth.

What areas in your life feel lifeless? Identify it and see what the root is. Could it be fear, procrastination, or maybe even stubbornness?
Repent and turn to the right track again! You’ll see fruit out of your obedience. God can restore the time that was lost if you surrender to Him and His plan. You’ll actually find out how freeing it is to walk in obedience and that God can truly be trusted in all His ways.
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”
Isaiah 55:8 NLT
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
God is not asking you to have every detail figured out. He is simply asking for your yes. The longer you delay, the longer you remain disconnected from the growth waiting on the other side of your obedience.
Take a moment today to ask yourself: What has God told me to do that I’ve been avoiding? Identify what has been holding you back, repent for the delay, and take one intentional step forward. Your obedience may feel uncomfortable at first, but there is freedom, fruit, and purpose waiting for you.
God can redeem the time. He can breathe life into the places that have felt stagnant. He can redirect your steps and restore your confidence, but you must be willing to surrender your plans and trust His. Your next step doesn’t require perfection. It requires obedience.
Before the day ends, write down the instruction God has placed on your heart and commit to one action you can take within the next 24 hours.
Then share in the comments: What is one step of obedience you’re choosing to take? Your testimony may be the encouragement another woman needs to give God her yes, too.
