Growing on Purpose…Not by Accident

Transformation doesn’t happen by chance. It happens through the intentional pursuit of God.

While salvation is a free gift, spiritual growth requires our participation. Our relationship with Christ flourishes when we choose to seek Him, trust Him, and align our lives with His purpose every single day.
Many of us desire a deeper connection with God, stronger faith, greater peace, and clearer direction, but those things don’t develop without intentionality. Just as a garden must be watered and cared for, our spiritual lives require consistent attention. Prayer, worship, studying God’s Word, serving others, and spending quiet time in His presence are not religious obligations, but they are opportunities to draw closer to the One who created us.
The world constantly competes for our attention with busy schedules, responsibilities, social media, and everyday distractions that can slowly pull us away from the things that matter most. That’s why intentionality is so important. It is the conscious decision to prioritize God even when life feels overwhelming. It is choosing His voice over the noise. It is making room for Him before we make room for everything else.
Sis, you are called to live beyond survival and step fully into the identity God has given you! We are more than our mistakes, more than our disappointments, and more than our past, but walking in that truth requires intentional effort. We must intentionally renew our minds with God’s Word, intentionally surround ourselves with Godly community, and intentionally pursue healing, growth, and purpose.
Intentionality also means trusting God’s process. Growth is not always dramatic. Sometimes it looks like choosing prayer when you’d rather worry. Sometimes it looks like extending forgiveness when it’s difficult. Sometimes it looks like showing up consistently even when you don’t feel spiritually “on fire.” Small acts of obedience, repeated over time, produce lasting transformation.
The truth is that we become what we consistently pursue. If we want a deeper relationship with God, we must make Him a priority rather than an afterthought. We don’t do this out of obligation, but out of love.
As you move through this week, ask yourself “What am I intentionally making room for in my life?” ”Does my daily routine reflect my desire to grow closer to God?” “What is one practical step I can take to pursue Him more intentionally?” When we intentionally seek God, we discover that He has been intentionally drawing us closer all along.
Sis, if you are ready to be intentional about your growth, we invite you to join us for Abide & Bloom: The Evidence on September 25-26, 2026. This experience was created for women who are tired of simply talking about growth and are ready to become living evidence of God's transformative power.

Through worship, powerful conversations, meaningful connections, and moments of reflection, we'll explore what it truly means to abide in Christ and allow His work to be evident in every area of our lives. This is your season to stop surviving and start flourishing. Come discover the evidence of what God can do when a woman chooses to remain rooted in Him. We can't wait to grow with you.

We hope to see you there!
