Positioned for Purpose

In 2023, I was presented with an opportunity to relocate my business. It was tempting but Jesus and I needed to have a deep discussion. Why? Because, I was comfortable hiding in my complacency. I was comfortable hiding from the unfamiliar. Sounds silly but that was my sweet spot for some years. My mentality was " Leave me be, I'm fine." I can hide when I don't want people to bother me." "There's no PURPOSE in leaving, I'm good." Or was I? After much prayer, counsel, and tears; I told God if he didn't go before me I wasn't moving. Well, he answered my prayer with his tangible presence, in such a way I literally felt him. It was his "Yes". I transitioned my business to a location with bells on, excited for the new journey. I had peace, until a distracting and nagging thought plagued me. For 30 days, I kept asking God "What is my PURPOSE here?! I left my "safe" place & you lead me here remember?!" Crickets. Sis, I heard NOTHING! I wanted to know because things weren't going how I expected. Then one day, I was exhausted with the whining and complaining. That is when he answered. I needed to be quiet and know that he is my father, lovingly working things out in HIS OWN WAY!

Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to HIS purpose for them.

I soon surrendered my perplexed heart, and his vision, peace, & understanding consumed me. It was a Jesus take the wheel moment. All Glory to God for his patience with me because I was a mess! Lol

Sis, God's purpose for your life won't align with YOUR ideas or plans. Anything he calls you to will not be rainbows and butterflies, everything done for his glory takes faith work. God wants us to be obedient and trust in His perfect plans. Avoid getting bogged down by minor details, as they can lead to distraction and doubt, drowning out God's voice.

Philippians 2:13 For God is working in you, giving YOU the desire and the power to do what pleases HIM.}

The world we live in tries to push us to chase after purpose with man-made ideas and fleshly desires, but those things won't last. Sis, we need to allow Abba to be the wonderful father he truly is. He always positions us with sincere intentions, regardless of the circumstances. His ways are better, his plans are sweeter. Trust him and GO IN HIS PURPOSE!

This week take some time to meditate on the word of God. Seek him for your purpose in this current season of life. Be bold in your prayers, patient in waiting, and watch with great expectancy.
