The Power to Bloom

I love flowers; their fragrant aroma, their variations of colors, and the intricacy of their beauty. No one but God could create such beauty in nature. When flowers bloom, there is a process that takes place in which the intricacy and details of its full maturation is concealed until its ready to be revealed.
When you watch a flower bud grow, there is still an external awe with the colors, shapes, etc., but their is so much more hidden internally that not even the human mind can imagine its full radiance.
Now, let's put you into this perspective. You are the flower looking to bloom, already displaying an outer beauty but the inside is still in process. You are so anxious to BLOOM that you begin to tamper with your own growth. You begin to move ahead of the creator, the gardener; placing your desires, efforts and timing before His. You reallllllly think you know whats best for you until your growth is sabotaged and stunted. That's only until you submit to God's process and allow him to cultivate the flower within. Admit it, you don't know what you're doing. It's okay sis!
So now, you may be asking " Well, what does blooming in God look like for me?" I'm glad you asked! Let's look at God's word for His truth:
John 15:3-4 " You have already been PRUNED and purified by the message I have given you. REMAIN in me, and I will remain in you."
Ephesians 2:10 " For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can DO the good things He PLANNED for us long ago."
Philppians 2:13 " For it is God who is working in you, giving you the DESIRE and the POWER to do what pleases Him.
" How can I apply this to my life?" Girl! I'm glad you asked! Let's not over complicate what God asks of us. Blooming requires abiding in God's word, the pruning or cutting away of dead or contaminated character/mindsets, believing you are a child of God with great purpose, understanding you have been created and equipped to do God's work in the earth, and that it is HIS spirit that is at work in YOU giving you the desire and strength to do what brings Him glory.
Sister girl, take your hands out of your pot of soil, and stop trying to create a generic or microwave version of yourself. Allow the Holy Spirit to do the beautiful work within so that your heart and soul reflects that of Christ. It will not feel good and it may not happen when you want it to, but it's worth it. Become the fragrant blossom God intended you to be and bloom where you are planted! Take a moment and observe this video as a reminder of the significance of abiding and blooming.
God bless you!
