#WholeGirlEra Diaries: Keep Going, Sis!

This season of life is hitting a bit different for me. Have you ever had one of those seasons where it feels like you're doing everything you know to do, yet things still seem to be slipping through your fingers? You're praying, planning, showing up, doing the work, trusting God, and somehow it feels like everything is falling through the cracks. The bills keep coming, the opportunities seem delayed, people aren't showing up the way you expected, and the vision God gave you feels farther away than ever.

If that's where you are, I want you to know you're not alone.

There have been many moments in my own journey where I have looked around and thought, "Lord, what is happening?" Moments where I felt overwhelmed by responsibility, stretched beyond my capacity, and discouraged because the progress I hoped to see wasn't matching the effort I was putting in. The truth is, life has a way of making us feel like we're failing when we're actually growing.

One of the greatest lessons I've learned is that just because things feel like they're falling apart doesn't mean God has lost control. We often judge our situation based on what we can see, but God is working in places we cannot. While we're focused on the closed door, He's preparing another one. While we're frustrated by the delay, He's developing something within us that will be necessary for where He's taking us. The difficult part is that growth rarely looks like growth while you're in the middle of it. Growth often looks like discomfort. It looks like uncertainty. It looks like praying the same prayer again and again. It looks like showing up when you don't feel motivated. It looks like trusting God when the evidence around you suggests otherwise.

Scripture reminds us in Isaiah 55:8-9, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." In other words, God's perspective is different from ours. What feels like a setback may actually be protection. What feels like a delay may actually be preparation. When life feels overwhelming, one of the best things we can do is return to the last thing God told us to do. We often become anxious because we're trying to figure out the entire journey when God is only asking us to focus on the next step. Instead of worrying about next year, next month, or even next week, ask yourself, "What is God calling me to do today?" Then do that faithfully.

Sometimes keeping going doesn't require a grand act of faith. Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed and choosing not to quit. Sometimes it looks like opening your Bible when you don't feel inspired. Sometimes it looks like praying through tears, attending the meeting, making the phone call, submitting the application, or taking one more step toward the vision. Small acts of obedience matter more than we realize.

Another thing I've learned is that we must be careful not to allow our feelings to become our truth. Feelings are real, but they are not always reliable. There will be days when you feel forgotten. Days when you feel overlooked. Days when you feel like nothing is working. In those moments, you have to anchor yourself in what God said rather than what you feel.

Galatians 6:9 offers a powerful reminder: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Notice that the promise isn't based on how we feel. It's based on whether we remain faithful. The harvest is connected to our willingness to keep going.

It's also important to stay connected to community during difficult seasons. One of the enemy's favorite tactics is isolation. He wants us to believe we're the only ones struggling. He wants us to withdraw when we need support the most. But healing, encouragement, and strength are often found in the people God has placed around us. Reach out. Ask for prayer. Let someone know you're struggling. You were never meant to carry everything alone.

And don't forget to celebrate the small wins. Sometimes we're so focused on where we're trying to go that we overlook how far we've already come. Celebrate the progress. Celebrate the discipline. Celebrate the healing. Celebrate the fact that you're still standing. Every step forward matters, even when it feels small.

Psalm 27:13-14 says, "Yet I am confident I will see the Lord's goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord." I am standing on this one!

Sis, if things feel like they're falling through the cracks right now, I want to encourage you not to quit. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep showing up. Keep healing. Keep growing. Keep becoming. The same God who called you is the same God who will sustain you. He has not forgotten you, abandoned you, or changed His mind about you. One day you'll look back and realize that what felt like everything falling apart was actually God putting things together in a way you could never have imagined. Until then, stay faithful. Stay encouraged. Stay rooted. And remember, your current season is not the end of your story. Hindsight is a beautiful thing!

Keep going, Sis. Your harvest is closer than you think.

"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord." Psalm 31:24

For the woman reading this who knows she's called to more but feels stuck between where she is and where she's going, I want to personally invite you to join us for The Abigail Experience. Today marks the beginning of our 60-day journey, and it's not too late to join. This challenge was created for women who are tired of simply surviving and are ready to intentionally prepare for what God has next. Together we'll focus on daily Bible reading, prayer, journaling, wellness, fasting, healing, accountability, and becoming the woman God is calling us to be. Abigail's story reminds us that preparation matters. She wasn't just beautiful; she was wise, discerning, emotionally mature, and ready when her moment arrived. If you've been praying for your next season, this challenge will help you prepare for it.

Maybe you've been feeling like life is falling through the cracks. Maybe you've lost momentum. Maybe you've been struggling to stay consistent in your walk with God. Sis, this challenge is for you. You don't have to have it all together. You don't have to be perfectly disciplined. You simply have to be willing to start. Sometimes the breakthrough we're praying for begins with one decision to show up differently. The truth is, wise women don't just pray for more, they prepare for more. And if God is calling you deeper, don't ignore the invitation. Join us as we spend the next 60 days growing in faith, healing, confidence, discipline, and purpose. We believe God is going to do something incredible in the lives of the women who say yes to this journey.

Join The Abigail Experience today and let's become the women God has called us to be, together.

Abide & Bloom: The Evidence, is right around the corner!

So many of us spend our lives searching for proof that God is working, proof that our prayers matter, proof that our waiting isn't in vain. Yet when we pause and look back, we often discover the evidence has been there all along, in the doors He opened, the storms He brought us through, the strength we didn't know we had, and the growth we almost overlooked.

That's exactly what The Evidence is about.

On September 25-26, women from all walks of life will gather for a powerful weekend of worship, conversation, healing, and transformation as we uncover the evidence of God's faithfulness in every chapter of our lives. From our intimate "Tonight's Conversation" panel experience to the immersive Evidence Room and full conference experience, this weekend is designed to help you reflect, reconnect, and recognize God's hand in your story.

If you've been waiting for a sign, an answer, or confirmation that God hasn't forgotten about you, consider this your invitation.
