#WholeGirlEra Diaries - I have POWER!

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Let me start off by saying FEAR IS A LIE! Oftentimes, we feel fear and allow it to grip us and halt what we're doing. Instead of seeing it as an indicator that what we're doing is necessary, we allow the enemy to deceive us into thinking it can't be done.

How do we know it's the enemy? Because God did not give us fear, He gives us POWER!

Right now, we are in the process of finalizing the logistics for Abide and Bloom. When I first received the idea, I knew it was good, but I wasn’t sure if it was God. After evaluating my why, it was confirmed: this was a God idea. I shared it with my leadership team, and we were all aligned and on one accord. Planning became easy. Some of the ladies had even been working and studying up on gardening and their blooming season prior to me bringing the idea to them. It was incredible how our hearts and minds came together so seamlessly to plan this summit.

But just as things were going well, we started talking about the budget and how we’d accomplish everything we envisioned. That little ugly four-letter word crept in: FEAR. "Who’s even going to come? What if no one shows up? Who will speak? You do know the price of EVERYTHING has gone up, right? What happens if you spend all that money and nothing happens? You’re just... out." It almost made me retract my idea...

After wrestling in my thoughts, I shared my "concerns" with the team and they QUICKLY redirected me back to the Word! God would not give me a big idea just to leave me stuck. He will ALWAYS provide provision. He gives me POWER to overcome thoughts that are contrary to His truth. He is FOR me, and if He gave me the idea, He will surely watch over His Word to accomplish all He’s set out for it to do.- Side note, you do realize that "fear" can show up as "reservations, concerns, hesitations, anxiety,..etc"

Sis, you may not be planning an event, but maybe you're searching for a job, a home, or desiring change within your family. Whatever your why is, please know: when fear rises up, you have to cast it down IMMEDIATELY and fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Philippians 4:8

The eneny would love nothing more than to stop what God has placed inside of you!

So what do you do when fear starts creeping in and trying to convince you that you’re not capable, not qualified, or not ready? You fight back with power. The same power God has already placed inside of you.

Here are 5 practical ways to remind yourself that you have power, ven when fear tries to say otherwise:

1. Trade Fear for Truth Fear thrives in the unknown and in lies. Combat it with the Word of God. Speak scriptures like 2 Timothy 1:7 out loud: “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” Your power is in the truth. Declare it until you believe it.

2. Pray and Partner with the Holy Spirit You are never alone. When fear shows up, invite the Holy Spirit in. Ask for peace, strength, and clarity. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11) that’s power unmatched!

3. Write Down What You're Afraid Of—Then Write What God Says Get it out of your head and onto paper. Then, next to every fear, write a truth from scripture or a promise God has made. This practical step helps you see fear for what it is: a defeated foe.

4. Use Your Voice Power is activated through declaration. Don’t just think it, SAY it. Say, “I have power. I am loved. My mind is sound. I will not shrink back.” Speaking truth pushes fear out of the atmosphere and invites faith in.

5. Remember Who You Belong To You are a daughter of the King. Fear may knock, but it doesn't get to stay. Walk in the authority you've been given. You’re not powerless, you’re positioned. Fear is beneath your feet.
