Our Community Showed Out

Whew… y’all. Let me just say — God is faithful.
About four years ago, I wrote a mini play for the women’s group at my church. It wasn’t meant to be anything big — just something the Holy Spirit placed on my heart, something I felt led to share with the women of our church body. I had no idea that night would plant a seed that God would one day grow into something so beautiful.
After the play, people started saying, “You need to take this to the community!” I smiled and nodded, but deep down, I wasn’t sure. I didn’t feel ready. The timing didn’t feel right. So, I tucked it away and told God, “If this is really You, You’ll make it happen.” I came together with a sister of mine, and we fasted and prayed.

And let me tell you — it took years. Years of praying. Years of fasting. Years of waiting. But we held on, because even in the silence, I knew God was working behind the scenes. We were led to create our own company, and even though we didn’t understand it at the time, we were obedient. Step by step, we trusted God and waited.
Then one day, the door just… opened. I can’t explain it any other way — it was all Him. The opportunity came, the pieces fell into place, and I knew it was time.
When it was finally time to step out in obedience — yes, I was nervous. Would people come? Would it make an impact? Then I had to remember that the God I serve will finish what He started. And when it happened — from the moment we announced it — I started seeing God’s hand move.
And when I say the community showed out, I mean it in every sense of the word!
The show sold out. The love, the support — it was overwhelming. Seeing people from all walks of life come together for something that glorified God… that’s a feeling I’ll never forget.
That’s the beauty of biblical community.
The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:24-25:
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together... but encouraging one another.”
We are not meant to do life — or ministry — alone. God moves mightily when we come together, share our gifts, and lift each other up. This play was never just about me. It was about us — the body of Christ, the power of unity.
When one person dreams, it’s inspiring — but when a community stands behind that dream, it becomes a movement.
So today, I just want to say thank you. Thank you to every person who prayed, purchased a ticket, volunteered, shared a post, or simply believed. You didn’t just show up; you showed out.
And if you’re reading this, sitting on something God gave you — a vision, a song, a story, a ministry — don’t let fear or timing hold you back. Stay faithful, stay connected, and watch what God does through community.
